Figma not ready yet for printable documents

 Although there are plugins that let u export into CMYK printable PDFs, Figma will not let you modify its colors.

Also, as to date, CMYK mode not available in Figma.

Recommended tools:

  • Photoshop
  • Illustrator
  • InDesign

Quick note: if you ever want to save the file as JPG or PNG, please use "Export as" option, and then make sure to check off the "Convert to sRGB" option before exporting.

Convert image into vector using Illustrator

1- Open image in Illustrator
2- Adjust artboards if needed
3- Click "Image trace" on the right hand side (toolbar).

 

4- Choose Color mode in the Image trace settings

Important:
for transparent backgrounds, make sure "Ignore White" option is checked

5- Click "Trace"
6- Once that's finished, click "Object" in the top nav, then select: Image Trace > Expand
7- You may now edit the vectors or save as AI/SVG

Ai: distorted svg paths/output

Issue: for some reason, some paths appeared to be distorted in the svg output.

Solution: enlarge artboard and graphic to at least 130x130px and then try saving again
